Mass this Week

17 February 2019
Be my protector, O God, a mighty stronghold to save me. For you are my rock, my stronghold! Lead me, guide me, for the sake of your name.
Righteous God, you challenge the powers that rule this world and you show favour to the oppressed: instil in us a true sense of justice, that we may discern the signs of your kingdom and strive for right to prevail; for the sake of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Psalm: Psalm 138
Second Reading: 1 Corinthians 15.1-11
Gospel Acclamation: Alleluia, alleluia! Blessed are you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for revealing the mysteries of the kingdom to mere children. Alleluia! or: Alleluia, alleluia! Rejoice and be glad: your reward will be great in heaven. Alleluia!

Prayer over the Offerings
Eternal God, you are the strength of the weak and the comfort of sufferers, receive all we offer you this day; turn our sickness into health and our sorrow into joy. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ the Lord. Amen.
They ate and had their fill, and what they craved the Lord gave them:
they were not disappointed in what they craved. or: God so loved the world that he gave his only-begotten Son, so that all who believed in him may not perish, but may have eternal life.
Prayer after Communion
God of tender care, in this eucharist we celebrate your love for us and for all people. May we show your love in our lives and know its fulfilment in your presence. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ the Lord. Amen.
