New Church Organ
Over four days from 20-23 August 2017, a new organ was installed in the Church. Made possible through the generosity of the late Fr Anthony Taylor and members of the congregation, a state-of-the-art 3 manual Johannus Ecclesia D-350 digital organ has replaced the early 1980s Allen MDC-42 organ which has served since 1989.
Advances in microprocessor technology in recent years mean that the modern digital organ is vastly superior to earlier instruments, with every note on every stop a faithful reproduction of an actual organ pipe that has been digitally recorded, whereas earlier instruments electronically generated a small number of tones which were then varied in volume across stops of the same family.
The installation was celebrated by a recital from visiting international organist Martin van Heerde on Thursday 19 October. Around 80 people from the wider Anglican community, the Organ Music Society, and the Theatre Organ Society of South Australia enjoyed a spectacular recital, followed by hospitality in the Mission Hall.

St Mary Magdalene's Day, 2017
On the Feast of St Mary Magdalene, 22 July 2017, we were privileged to host Fr Philippos Boghdadi and parishioners from the Coptic Orthodox community of St Mary and Anba Bishoy, who celebrated the Divine Liturgy in honour of our patron, and as a mark of the strong relationship between the churches. It was a truly wonderful and memorable day, and we were honoured to be presented with a beautiful icon of the Holy Family at the end of the liturgy. Thanks be to God!
